The real Tibetan style districts lie in north of kagbeni and are usually referred to as upper mustang. Mustang has an average elevation of 13000 ft. Many of the old salt caravans passed through Mustang. By 14 centenaries much of ngari become part of Malla Empire. Malla capital was sinja in western Nepal.
